A clean community is something we all want but keeping it that way requires more than a one-time cleanup. A clean community doesn’t happen with one cleanup—it happens through long-term leadership and lasting solutions. Businesses are an important part of District 4, but too many continue to struggle. Even a national company like Wendy’s was unable to remain at 51st Avenue and McDowell. While every business closure has its own circumstances, it’s a reminder that we must create safer, cleaner neighborhoods where businesses and families can thrive.
The issue isn’t just cleaning an area. The real challenge is keeping it clean through better coordination, stronger community partnerships, effective outreach, and long-term solutions that address the root causes affecting our neighborhoods. District 4 deserves leadership that focuses on lasting results—not temporary fixes.
