Affordable Housing for All

  • Phoenix faces a housing crisis that threatens families and our community’s stability. I’m proud to have helped bring projects like La Esperanza Terrace to life—providing safe, affordable homes for hundreds of families. I will continue pushing for smart housing solutions that protect tenants, prevent evictions, and expand affordable options across our city.

Economic Development

  • Foster an environment conducive to economic growth and attract businesses and corporations to the City of Phoenix through the implementation of policies that promote a thriving pro-business climate.
  • Advocate for policies that offer support to small businesses, entrepreneurs, and public/private partnerships, thereby stimulating economic activity and fostering innovation.
  • Establish effective channels of communication between city government and educational institutions, including elementary schools, high schools, community colleges, and universities, to ensure the alignment of education and skills development with the evolving job market.

Water and Environmental

  • Lead educational programs to raise awareness among community members about the importance of reducing water consumption and contribute to statewide water conservation efforts.
  • Ensure strategic utilization of water resources in all city facilities, maximizing efficiency and sustainability.
  • Support energy-efficient programs for community members and champion their implementation within the city.
  • Advocate for the introduction of more electric city buses or electrification of the city fleet to reduce emissions and promote clean transportation.
  • Advocate for the adoption and implementation of a comprehensive climate action plan to address environmental challenges.

Community Development & Public Safety Section

  • Building Stronger, Safer Neighborhoods
Our neighborhoods deserve investment in infrastructure, parks, and public safety. I support responsible budgeting that prioritizes police and fire services while preserving vital community programs. Together, we can revitalize our streets, improve transit, and create spaces where families feel safe and connected.Image suggestion:

Infrastructure

  • Advocate for the widespread implementation of “Cool Pavement” in the city, prioritizing areas lacking sun coverage in public spaces, in order to mitigate heat-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with the state and other municipalities to strategically invest in freeway expansions, with the aim of alleviating rush hour congestion experienced by Phoenix City residents.
  • Increase funding for the development of pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, bike lanes, and road maintenance initiatives to enhance transportation options and safety.
  • Support the installation of desert-friendly trees and shade canopies along pedestrian walkways to promote a comfortable and sustainable urban environment.
  • Lead efforts to create additional parks and green open spaces to strike a balance between multi-housing projects and the preservation of natural spaces in Phoenix.

Community Engagement

  • Facilitate opportunities for residents to actively participate in public service through appointments to Phoenix Boards and Commissions.
  • Ensure open lines of communication between community members and District 4 staff, providing accessible and responsive channels for addressing concerns and inquiries.
  • Commit to hosting regular community meetings, at least once a month, to actively listen to and engage with neighbors, fostering a sense of community involvement and inclusivity.

Ethics & Transparency

  • Establish a culture of transparency by providing full disclosure of all activities undertaken by the District 4 office for the benefit of the community.
  • Support the establishment of an Ethics Commission to oversee and enforce ethical standards for City Council Members.
  • Uphold ethical standards by refraining from the personal use of city resources.
  • Utilize office resources efficiently to ensure responsible use of taxpayer funds and minimize unnecessary burdens.
